This post is long over due, but the end of the season has been a marathon for us at Volagi, or maybe a century is more apropos. Our successful Kickstarter project took us right into Interbike where we got some face time with some of the best dealers across the nation, and even some world wide. The star of the show was of course the all new Viaje steel adventure road bike. It was amazing to see everyone’s reactions to a bike that can be so many things to so many people.
What better way to celebrate the end to a great season than with some beautiful raw frames just waiting for their final colors.
More after the jump.
Below is a row of beautiful, unpainted, completed Viajes just waiting for the final step before they’re on the way out the door to you! Now, this picture was taken last week, so there is a good chance they are already painted and one step closer to you riding your new Viaje.
Obviously, we’re not going to make the end of October goal for the XL, but November is a sure thing. This was partially due to the decision to change the rack mounts on the seat stays (if you look closely you can see the new mounts set into the stays – very clean) but it was something we felt we had to do as many of you voiced your desire for standard rack compatibility. Note: if you haven’t been in the loop, we made the decision to change the rear rack mount from a single hole in the center of the bridge, to two flush mount braze -ons on either side of the seat stays so that you can use a standard rear rack with two stays, or utilize the center hole with a mono-stay rack.
As always, thanks for the support, and we’ll keep you posted on the progress!
